Should i do it?

I make and sell homemade bows, there is a local consignment store where i live, i emailed them and asked them if i could sell them in their store, she said yes they are seling like hot cakes, but the only catch is that is is a 75/25 split, i was never good at this stuff so should i do it or will it not be worth my time???
If i sell the bows for 3.50 each what will i get and what will she get??
thank you
p.s dont bash cause i do not know the percentages very well, i am learning more about them, i went to schoool in ireland, so there they do not do all the same stuff as you do here.

  • Do you mean that you will get 75% of all sales or 25% of all sales. If you get 75% then if you make $100 then your share is $75 & there share is $25, but if you where to get 25% & they get 75% then it is not worth it.

  • call around to other consignment shops and see what they do to see if it seems like a good deal. i think it sounds ok. also, look at what other hair bows they have and ask about which ones sell the best. they should be more than happy to tell you so you know if the style you're making would be good competition.

  • 75/25 in your favor is a HUGE advantage! Most places start at about 60/40 and get worse from there on down. If you find a place that will give you 75% TAKE THEM UP ON IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
