what do you drive???

I currently drive a 2000 ford taurus. i'm thinkin about getting a new car now. not "new" new, mostly likely used...but new to me... lol. I'm interested getting a station wagon, or something similar to a subaru outback. good on gas mileage and lots of room. if what you drive matches what i'm looking for, what do you drive, what are the pros and cons of the car? thanks!!

  • 01 Lincoln gas like theres no tomorrow, but I really don't want another payment. Dont bother telling me it kills the ozone or hurts the environment, because its the way it is. Even if I do buy another vehicle, it will be an suv.

  • I drive a '99 Saturn SL-1---it's a dinky little thing, but it gets pretty darn good gas milage, and it's paid for! so no car payment!
Hubbie drives an '01 Pontiac Grand Am---it's in great condition, gets awesome gas milage, has enough room to be our "family" car AND it's also paid for!

We're going to wait to get new cars until I graduate college and can get a full-time job so we can afford a couple new cars..and a house would be nice too!

  • I love my Honda Odyssey and the gas mileage actually isn't bad, but if you like something a little smaller and wagon-like in its styling, you might consider the Toyota Highlander or (as you mentioned), the Subaru Outback or Forester.
