how much longer

does anyone know how much longer it usally is to birth after baby has dropped? mine dropped about a month ago but i not sposed to be due till end of june, its really painful the pressure and everything, and i getting more braxton hicks...

  • There is no telling:( The position of the baby really is no indicator as to when labor will start. The lower they are the more they help dilate your cervix becuase of the pressure on your cervix. When you hit 36 weeks your doc should start vaginal exams and that will help tell you how much you have progressed

  • I know what you're going through! I went 4 weeks feeling like the baby's head was gonna be between my legs at any time! Just hang on, and be happy that the baby has decided to come out the way it was supposed to! All that pressure has a purpose, and you won't have too muvh longer! Hang in there!

  • Hard to say really, the last few weeks are really tough though. At the end of the pregnancy the doctor will begin doing manual exams, this should give him/her and idea if you are dilated or effaced at all. Indicators to labor are things like when your bag of waters break, losing the mucous plug, contractions etc.
