  • How old? My mom was shorter then all her children once we all hit purberty and so she used to remind us that she could always "slap up". lol

  • My son is only 4, but when he speaks inappropriately (his latest is "yeah, yeah"), I just have him repeat his response using his manners. If and when he chooses not to speak respectfully, then he will get think time in his room until he can remember to use his manners - we haven't had to go there yet because he's generally good once I remind him to use his manners. Again, though, he's only 4 and just learning different ways of expressing himself - some are okay, some are not so okay.

  • I ignore him until he talks appropriately. If he still acts up, he loses priveleges or favorite items.
