  • Epidurals.

  • Breathing and moving around. Water also helps people. I'm not going to knock anyone who gets an epidural because I had one but they are dangerous and have a lot of side effects for baby and mom. Just do some research. A great book to read is Henci Goer's A Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth.

  • I got through the first one begging for general anesthetic.  I opted for an epidural for my second.

  • Epi with my first. I was clueless as to what was going on around me. Ended in a c-section though. 2nd time epi didn't work. I felt the whole dang thing. Don't know what I am going to do this time around.

  • Focusing on the pain like a wave crashing over me,and then retreating.Breathe thru it,let it rise, then push it down with my mind.
