Pet Allergy or Formula Allergy?

Hi! One of my neighbors has a lab retriever that periodically comes over for a visit. I am around dogs fairly often as my family and friends have them, but this particular dog makes my skin break out in little welts/hives after petting him for a few minutes. This does not happen with any other dog or cat that I am around. Could it be some sort of flea medication that they use on this dog that is making me break out or am I just allergic to this particular dog for some reason? Just wondering. Thanks!

  • I would think that it is either the flea medication or what they bath him in. Chances of you being allergic to one bred is highly unlikely.
