i live in a farm with my bf and theres cats outside and theres two inside should i be concerned about anything

im only a month along

  • dont touch the litter or put your face in it to breathe it, thats all.

  • Cats are fine to have around while you're pregnant, but you're not suppose to clean up their poop if you're pregnant. That's the only thing. You can hold them, love on them or whatever. Just avoid coming in physical contact with their poo.

  • DONT change the litter box, and try to avoid the area it was changed in for 15 min after its changed. other than that, if they go outside and in their boxes, no worries.
    i would be more worried when the baby gets here and make sure they dont climb in the crib with it.

  • The good news is that most women who have lived with cats have already been exposed to toxoplasmosis and have built the antibodies which pass to your baby. Have someone else change the litter if possible. If not, an automatic litter box that seals the waste is a great investment - and saves you a ton on litter. Be sure to wear gloves, mask, and keep your face away from dirty litter if there is no other alternative but to change it yourself.
