What are the chances

of me being slow at dilating this time around? Last time I was only at 1cm for about a week and then my water broke 1 week before my due date and was still only at 1cm after 4 hours. He was my first baby and I ended up having to get a c-section because of all the marconium (sp?).

What are the chances of this happening again? Since I had a c-section and didn't get a chance to progress does this mean that my body won't dilate on its own?

  • You might be slow at dilating again. Its unlikely that you would not dilate at all, but possible.

Are you having a scheduled c-section again? If so I don't think you need to dilate at all, so I wouldn't worry!

  • I'm trying for a VBAC. I guess we'll just have to see.
