  • My kids have had all their shots too

Answer by Zakysmommy at 9:38 AM on May. 28, 2009

  • Yep... And in most cases you DON'T need the form. You would just need to contact the school and find out what they need... Usually it's just a noterized letter... I also suggest getting yourself a copy of the law and re- copying every few years. But cause you will need to know exactley what it says if they want to give you issues...

I would never vax my kids, so this is all things that I have been studying and researching for years...

  • Yep, but it really doesn't matter for us since we'll be homeschooling =)

  • dedicatedrider, you need to have something in your files, even if you homeschool. Here in NC, their vax's are "required" to homeschool. Of course, you can just put your exemption in your folder. But check into it, just in case.

  • Here's another good website I like to go to for the laws on exemptions in every state - you can just click on your own state and it gives a simplified version of the laws and how to get the exemption!

  • I belive in the need for Vax, I also do not approve of sending your child to school ( with my child) un-vaxed by finding loop holes in the system. Those exemptions are there for REAL reasons, not just for you to take advantage of the system. I know this sounds rude, I don't mean to , but I take my childs health and safety very serious!
