  • It's more a matter of readiness than age. If he can stay dry for two hours at a time(through naptime is better), Can verbally indicate the need to potty(he won't tell you till later. You have to keep sitting him on it and haveing him try), Can pull his pant up and down(he won't do this till later either. You will have to), Isn't afraid to sit on the potty, will let you take him and will try every thirty minutes at first, then, increasing time between. Shows some interest in pottying. They can start before they show these signs, but, it will take longer to fully train and be harder on you.

  • Take a few days when you have nowhere to be or nothing to do. Let him run naked or wear big boy undies. Take him in every thirty minutes at first and have him try to use it. He will have accidents...just change him and keep trying. When he does use it the first time, go a tad overboard with the praise. This will lessen over time. Be consistant and persistant. He will day train first, followed by night training. It shouldn't take long if he has showed these signs already.
