if u work only 3 months when tax season comes can u still get 1,000 for each child i have only 1 kid??

  • If you file anything other than the 1040 you get the child credit as long as you have a child.

  • The child tax credit helps eliminate your tax liability. Unless you make alot of money in that 3 months, you won't likely have much of a tax liability and it wouldn't be needed. BUT, there's a second part to the child tax credit and that's a refundable part that might come back to you in a portion of that $1,000. BUT, again, that's only if you make enough money for that to come into play.

    If you are trying to do the math to determine how much money you should make, then make aaalll you can. Those that think they can figure out how little to work and that the government will throw more money that direction are sadly mistaken. It doesn't work that way.
