what can I do to encourage my 6 month od to sleep all night?

  • Try to keep him/her up as much as possible during the day.

  • actually, that's not really a good idea, if your baby is over-tired he/she will not sleep well either. it's kinda hard to answer though b/c you didn't really give much information, but here goes... why is he/she waking up?? if it's to eat, then try giving him/her more formula before he/she goes to bed, (ex. if he/she is taking 6 oz try 8 oz) Make sure he/she has a new diaper on before he/she goes to bed, even if he/she has only wet it once or twice. Maybe a warm bath before bed. if he/she is waking up b/c he/she is hot or cold, dress him/her accordingly (ex. thicker/thinner pjs) if none of that works, then you may just have to wait it out, some babies don't sleep through the night until they are older. hope some of that helps.
