  • My DD hits some milestones early too and when I talk about it with some friends they too get all weirded out. I think its because they think I am bragging but I am not or they think that their child may be laggin in the milestone department. My DD did some things early but others later she didnt eat solid food until 13 mo. old I mean nothing but formula! I had a hard time with that one. All babies/toddlers develope at their own time and dont feel bad for just trying to have a convo with someone your not bragging your just comparing notes with other mothers!

  • All kids start things at different times, so its normal for him. Some kids start things sooner then others, my sons 9 months and still doesn't crawl, he rolls everywhere or get around in his walker. He can't even stand by himself yet.

  • ask them why they get weird.could it be they think you are bragging? i am just asking, or could they feel like their babies are delayed and it makes them not want to talk about your baby? People get weird when they think they have to compete.

  • It's early but not unheard of. Why are your friends getting "weird"?

  • My DD was early like that too. She started cruising at about 5 months but didn't actually walk until she was 9 months. She was a chicken baby LOL.
