I need some advice ladies please help!!!

I have a car that got repo'd 8yrs ago wow i had even forgotten about it ..I own a 2007 ford exped. only because its the only thing i got from my ex husband who i have 3 kids with ..last week they came and took my truck cause they say i owe for the car from 8 yrs ago I wanna fight this what do you think have you heard of this? do you think there is anything I can do to get my 2007 ford back???

  • legally they can do that and take anything of yours that has great monetary value, like if you owned a house, they could take that too! Thankfully they haven't taken my car ( I owe for a repo too), but it is a POS 1994 Buick.

  • sure, but you probably won't win and you will still need to pay for your previous repo. they may possibly even garnish your wages to add insult to injury if they find out you are working and need the car for that.

  • ok but i owed like $6,000.00 they are trying to charge me $16,000 my 2007 ford they took is worth $18,000 in the kelly book how can they charge me so much for a piece of shit car take my 2007 for a 1997 i owe

  • The sad thing is they won't get kelly book value on the car they took (they always auction them for less) and will ask you for the remaining amount afterwards. You incurred fees by waiting 8 years for this to catch up to you. I owe around 800 for a 200 dollar credit debt I had 6 years ago.
