My 6 mo. old is 22 1/2 lbs. and he is out of his baby seat, i got a car seat from someone and it is forward facing only but it goes from 20lbs to 40lbs, is it ok to put im in it forward facing since he matches the weight limits?

  • No. It is very unsafe, and illegal. I recommend a convertible seat like the True Fit, or if you're on a budget, the Scenera.

  • Just so you know, the BARE MINIMUM for a child to go forward facing is 12 mos and 20 lbs. Personally, I feel they should rear face much longer then that. So in my eyes, 6 months isn't just too young, but WAY TOO YOUNG.

  • no, he's still too young. I wanted to turn my daughter around sooner too, but it's a lot safer for them to wait.

  • NO WAY, the requirements are a certain weight AND at least 1 year of age. I bought my daughters carseat at walmart for $35 and it goes both ways and it will grow with her until 5 years old, go buy one!

  • NO!!! A year at minimum. He could have serious spinal injuries from an accident while forward facing that young as opposed to broken legs if he were rear-faced.

  • NO ! Absolutely NOT. He needs to be rear facing until AT LEAST 12 months.
