can i take pepto bismol tablets while pregnant?

tums just dont do the trick sometimes!

  • Pepto bismol contains aspirin. Its not allowed during pregnancy.

    Try something like prilosec, or ask your doctor about a prescription med if your reflux is that bad.

  • i use pepcid it works usually not always all day anymore but i use rolaids after kinda helps

  • No, ask your doc to give ya something or maybe a list of what you can take then you can buy them all and see what helps best of luck.

  • you can try eating almonds. Believe it or not, almonds help cut down the acid. I heard about from a labor and delivery nurse. She said to drink a glass of milk and eat a handful of almonds. It did the trick and I didn't have to eat dozens of chalky little tums.

  • I drank pepto bismol the first month I was pregnant. I didn't know I was pregnant, I just knew my stomach was upset alot. The doctor said not to beat myself up over it, it wasn't that big a problem, but he switched me to Tums with Calcium. My son was born 9lbs 1oz and very healthy, so if you used the stuff, I'm gonna say like my doctor - don't beat yourself up!
