What color curtains would look good with..

Off white walls.. We got the paint at wal-mart, it was the kind that is already in stock and it didn't need mixing. I was thinking something along the lines of plum, white or tan. Not exactly sure though.

  • well depending on what color your furniture and wall hangings and stuff are. unless your going to decorate around the curtain color. I think Plum would look good. Thats a bold color. And you can accent a few other plum colors...like couch pillows and stuff with tan furniture.

  • ANY contrasting color would work well with cream colored walls...especially jewel tones...hunter green, sapphire blue, ruby red or shades thereof! I would stay away from pastel colors--they'll look washed out against light walls.

Then be sure to include toss pillows, a blanket throw, or other colorful accents in the same color as the drapes to bring the color in to the room.

  • I would think any darker colors, like dark browns, rich colors like burgundy, dark greens, even like navy blue or midnight blue depending on the color scheme of the rest of the room.
