Is it safe to give my cat and dog over the counter dewormer medicine?

  • I use them and it works fine for us! In fact our vet even offers one you can get over the counter lol but for a lot more

  • Thanks, I wasnt sure since some pet sites said that OTC meds could kill kittens. We gave it to her last night though and she is fine today.

  • It's actually not safe. I have three dogs and would never give them that. I buy only organic now. I used Hartz Sargent Gold flea shampoo on two of my dogs and they went into shock. Neither could swallow and were drooling all over and both started convulsing. I had to bring them to the vet and she said never to use over the counter stuff again. It IS NOT safe.
