has anyone been told not to eat sandwich meat while prego?

  • Only the overly processed stuff.. especially hotdogs, bologna, and certain sausages.. basically, if you don't know what the meat is made from.. don't eat it.. turkey, chicken, ham, roast beef is all fine :)

  • its meat from the deli, listeriosis, prepackaged meats should be fine

  • No I saw my midwife at subway the other day. When I went the next day to my appt she asked how my sandwich was.

  • I read it, but it didnt stop me....oops. I didnt have it that much, but my doctor never mentioned it to me.

  • They are really high in sodium and some fairly toxic chemicals. stick with fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans, lentils, tofu ,etc.

  • Yes, due to fear of Lysteria which can cause stillbirth. If you heat it enough, though, you'll take care of the risk.
