  • Until I lived in the apartment we're in now, I called the other ones "the apartment", but this one feels like home to me, so I say home.

  • i called it both when we lived in an apartment. but i call the house both "house" and "home" i think the term home is more of a symbol, instead of the physical location. apartment/house is a place. like you can be at home in your lover's arms, even if you're not AT your home, kwim?

  • "Home" is where I live. It doesn't matter if it's an apartment, mobile home, house, etc. I only call it my house (or whatever I lived in at the time) if I happened to be talking about the actual building for whatever reason.

  • Geez,I''ve never thought of it like that. I've always called my apt my home. What a great question.

  • Home is where you rest your head. Even if we're staying in a hotel it's "home" to us. This house is temporary, but it's still "home".

  • HOME! We rent a house and I would not say...."I am at the rental house"

But your husband may just think "I am at the apartment" verses "I am at the house". Maybe it is just not in his vocabulary to say "I'm at home". Don't read too much into it.

  • Home is where you make it. I have lived in the same apartment for 5 years and it is home to me.
