What kind of tights for childrens' ballet class?

My 3 1/2 year old is taking a ballet class, what kind of tights do you recommend? Do I need special ballet ones or will any kind work? Thanks for the info.

  • Regular tights will rip easily. I suggest going to a dance store and buying tights from there, they are very sturdy. In the winter I put heavy stockings on my 3 year for dance class, it keeps her warm and they don't have the tears.

  • yeah def need dance tights however if you have a second hand store by you i suggest looking there before going to the dance store because you'll find them much cheaper...I danced for 12 years it can get very very expensive quickly buying everything at the dance store...
