  • i'd say washing dishes, because the water gets treated and put back into circulation.

  • I was just wondering that yesterday! We are in a drought here in Fl. so I guess I should be saving water. I do wash by hand and use least water as possible. I have boys around so I prefer paper plates but I do feel like its a waste.

  • there are green disposable dishes that are certified to compost within a time frame in the landfill, look into those.

  • I use an energy and water effecient dishwasher, I feel at this point it is better than a lifetime in a landfill. I would use green paper plates should the need arise but I feel guilty buying them when I have a dishwasher.
