has anyone heard about breastmilk helping baby acne?

When it is applied to the acne itself its supposed to clear it up faster. Anyone tried this and did it work for you? ty :o)

  • Breast milk is awesome for a million things. But I've never thought about baby acne since it isn't a problem that needs to be fixed.

  • My best friends baby was breastfed, and after every feeding, it made him break out. The milk on his skin caused the acne.....so I guess it depends on the baby.

  • I'm thinking that it might work due to the natural immune properties of breastmilk.

  • I will post in a journal if it helps or not I just tried it today. Baby acne is caused from the withdrawl from my female hormones after birth and thats also why it passes, but I think that has to do with the healing properties.

  • Make sure it's not just a rash from bath products-like Johnsons. Milk can do wonders for skin ailments. Try it out.

  • anon6:16 the doc diagnosed it so its not a rash :o), but you are right the bath products like johnsons are very drying. I have been using breastmilk since this post and his acne is completely gone except some flakiness around his eye. :o)
