...if we are not animals, then why do we bear so much resemblance to so many animals? Why do our bodies work pretty much the same as any other animal with a vertebrae? Why can we catch the same diseases as them? Why do we share some behaviors with them? Why do our embryos look similar to their's in early stages of development? Why do some animals appear to have language and emotions like we do?
Did God also add some of his traits to the animals he created? If not, how do you explain these (and so many more) similarities?

Similarities? O.K. physical but humans are so much more than animals. What animal creates music, or art, or builds buildings, or cares for other species, or has a spiritual sense? That is what God gave us that set us apart from the animals. Man was his crowning creation, not because we are so great but because we have the ability to fellowship with Him.
