Why can't I name my baby Jamaal?

Everyone I tell that to is VERY against the name. I'm very white, my SO is also VERY white, but i love the name Jamaal.

  • Then name your baby Jamaal! Why are you worried about what everyone thinks? I wanted to name my youngest Griffin, and my whole family bashed it so much that I didn't name him that. I am still sad about it.

Please, Please, follow your heart and name you baby what YOU want.

  • Name your baby whatever you want, just make sure he can live with the name you give him. Honestly I dont like the name no matter the race.

  • Who cares what others think, BUT my sisters husband is half mexican and his name is Jose(his dad's name). Anyway, he looks very "white" and when we went to Mexico and introduced ourselves to some other tourists he said his name was Jose, they started LAUGHING and then said "Yeah right and my name is Juan" So maybe it's something to take into consideration;) Haha I still laugh about that:)
