I know this is silly, but can you move your pets (2 cats...maybe just 1) on military base with you?

  • On my post, you are allowed 3 pets and they just have to be up to date on all shots and registered at the post vet. Cats have to stay indoors, as well. Just talk to your housing office and they can give you details!

  • Sure you can. I think you are allowed 3. Just make sure to show proof of up to date shot records. Yea make sure your housing office knows you have pets and they will put you in pet friendly housing.

  • Both military housing units we've been in allow 2 pets

  • Sometimes you have to get special permission for more than two. But usually you can get it pretty easily.

But yep, bring your furry friends along. :)

  • In all of our military housing we have been allowed 2 pets. You may want to check with the base housing office because a lot of the housing is being privatized now, and they have rules as far as the pets go. I know if we were to have more than 2 pets we would have to pay $250 per additional pet for them to be allowed in housing.

  • Our base has a 2 pet limit. No pit bulls.

  • there are several "agressive/violent" breeds that are no longer allowed on post. pits and wolf hybrids are two of them

  • It depends on the base and location of that base. Usually 2 pets are allowed (either dogs or cats). There are more restrictions on dog breeds and "exotic" pets than on cats though. Cats are a shoe-in on just about any base, anywhere.
