Can you answer this? Dan has 5lb. of rhubarb and 4 receipes. e uses 1/4 of the rhubarb in each receipe. How many lbs of rhubarb are in each recipe?

My son this question in his homework we just can't get.

  • You multiply 1/4 by 5. 1/4 is equal to .25 , so it's .25*5=1.25

  • Oh yeah...1/4 = .25 so to find out what 1/4 of 5 is you multiply 5 by .25 and you would get 1.25lbs. in each.
