is the world system against giving women choice of destiny?

When we were made to give our best is giving only what society brands us as - "caged like only being capable to societies perimeters'......." Do you see women on the large scale being made to appear only useful for very distinct , predictable and sometimes immoral standards. Are all females destiny's growing into a controlled courtroom-like standard? When are we getting response to having our full potential as owners, land/home/ and otherwise. Also owners of business. We are very capable of doing anything we set our dreams, choices upon. ANYONE???

  • No.. women aren't given choice. Until we have more policies grounded. Politics must be priority, and more emphasis must be handed to women as a betterment for overall humankind. Branding women can be conquered as long as men don't dominate our society.

  • I don't see it that way at all. Infact I see that there is so much pressure for women to be on the top etc. instead they down play the important role they have as mothers and wives, as if its unimportant or not enough to be that. kwim?

  • It's historically proven that feminity is taken as a forefront for all careers, without women nothing could get done, and all the work handed out could stalemate because men would fight and kill over the most trivial matters, and that is historically their main goal of achievement. Men only achieve when they appear to look in control or power, not useful or making a difference in real life.

  • I think we do have more choice in destiny then we give ourselves credit for. I think that other women are more at fault for keeping women down than any other group. Look at how Sara Palin was torn apart here on CM, she's a career woman and a mom.
I don't agree with the first poster in that we need more politics, policies, or laws. We as women need to grab the reins and take control of our own lives.
I do agree with Precious, that our most important job is raising our children right, and that in itself wil improve the world, and even our own contentment in life.

  • I think women cant make up their minds about what they want. First they want equality and to be able to work the same job as a man...okay fine. Then they decide that they don't want to be considered lazy and stupid if they stay home and want to be commended for that too. Well, no one is oppressing women but themselves. You cannot be oppressed by men and society if you choose not to accept it. Meaning if you want to own a business, then go for it, if you want to work wall street, the go for it, if you want to stay home and raise kids and serve your husband, then go for it. Sure there will be people that try to tell you that you shouldnt be doing what youre doing and try to stop you, but a determined woman, whose secure in herself cannot be stopped. NO matter what.
