Did your breast shrink or stay the same after breastfeeding?

I've been nursing my son for a year on June 7th. I want to continue until he's 2, but I'm curious if my breast will shrink or stay the same. I went from 36C to 36DD.

  • I have just finished breastfeeding my third baby - although I only managed to feed each until about 5-6 months! Anyway, boobs definately different now - a bit smaller, not quite as full as they once were! Although, I guess that is what happens with age too. Good luck with carrying on for as long as you can - breastfeeding is hard work!

  • I was not really able to bf but I pumped for 3 weeks. During pregnancy I grew to 36c from 36 a/b now I am firmly 34b so I shrunk a little but also gained a little which was nice.

  • I was a 34C, 36DD during nursing & went back down to a 36D. Nursed almost 2 years.

  • I have not finished nursing yet so I can't personally help, but I have 2 friends that nursed until about 2 years old. Both went up about 2 cup sizes while nursing and about 1 year after they were done nursing they were about 3 cup sizes smaller. Went from B to D back to A. And 2 years after they were done were back to a B again. They are both not near as perky as before, but they are about the same size. Personally I have only increase about 1.5 cup sizes and we are still going strong at 2 years old!

  • Oh boy! My friend answered this, so I guess I will too LOL I was orig. a 36C, grew to 38D during pregnancy and while breastfeeding my older girl for 6 months. Then over the course of the next 2 years I went down to a 36B, but I had also lost weight to 15 lbs. less than my pre-pregnancy weight. Unfortunately, although my body was firm, my breasts were no longer firm nor perky :( although I feel I must also mention that I'm 39 so that offers some explanation LOL Then I got pregnant again and swelled back up to a 38D again, but only breastfed for 2 weeks :( Now, after 10 mo post pregnancy I am a 36C again, but alas I can hold a piece of paper under them with no problem whatsoever (sniff sniff) and I call them my deflated balloons AND they have stretchmarks (crying now) LOL My hubby says he still likes them, so that's all that really matters and he says to just wear a push-up bra to help me feel better about myself :)
