fresh squeezed juice question

i'm making my own apple juice this morning, can I offer it to my son if I add carrots? he's 13 m/o. is the nitrate warning only for infants under 12 m/o?

  • Nitrates are usually a preservative, and I thought they were mostly in meats.
    I gave my DD homemade apple juice (unsweetened) at around a year. I think you should be fine. And I wouldn't see a problem with adding carrots as long as they are cooked and pureed.

  • no I made my juice from raw apples and raw carrots with a juicer. it is much fresher and tastes better that way.
