Can you get pregnant while breastfeeding if you havent started having your period since childbirth?

I had my son Oct. 2007. He's breastfed and I've not had a period since I got prego. At childbirth I had my tubes tied due to medical issues. I've been having symptoms of pregnancy.

  • Is it likely since you had your tubes tied? No. Is it possible, though? Oh yeah. My own OB told me of stories where it's happened --- she was quick to inform me they weren't HER patients LOL

I used to work with a lady who's cousin had 3 kids. They were NB, 2, & 4. She decided her family was complete & had her tubes tied. Several weeks later, she went in for pro-op stuff for something unrelated & was told she couldn't have surgery because she was pregnant.

She told them they better check again! LOL That she most certainly was NOT -- she'd just had her tubes tied.

But, sure enough --- she was pregnant --- with triplets!

So yeah... might want to get it checked.
