A more suitable question....................

with much less detail which would have helped some of the ladies envision the situation better.........................

Mostly for the conservative ladies, who have most of the details, are we completely screwed and do you expect major changes in this country within a year or two? As in a Terminator (the movie) landscape.
We can see what is happening, will this country ever be the same, or is it too late?????????????????? <-------- There's the question.

  • Never is too late.

There needs to be big changes inside both parties. Republican needs to move away from the right wing extremist views and concentrate more energy how to get immigrants to join their party. Also they need to move away from their extreme religions views.

  • Republicans do not have to all turn towards the left. That is ridiculous and being "extreme religious" veiws anymore is holding true to ANY of it it seems.

  • mmm- terminator landscape? I see where you are going, but I pray every night for the good of the nation.

For the person who said, "And no this country will never eb the same again: YAY!" if you wanted to live in a different country, why didn't you? why try and force the rest of us into your ideals?

Yes, I expect major changes. The only hope is if the left can't get their entire agenda passed in the next year, and get it all enacted. Once Congress changes over, (and it will), it will be a totally different ball game. The bottom line is, most AREN'T happy with their reps, so I expect a lot of rookies in the next round!

Interesting how you only mentioned how the Republican party needs to change.  What does the Democrat party need to change, out of curiosity?  And please be specific when you refer to "extreme religious views".

  • I don't think we need wait a year or two for major changes: since when was it acceptable for a gov't official - of ANY kind - to dictate the hiring / firing / pay scales within a private company ?? Since when was it acceptable for any gov't official to break the law - constitutionally-protected property rights - and nullify business contracts ? ( I am talking of the primary investors in GM being told that their ownership in GM is suddenly lower priority than the newly-created ownership of unions and of gov't officials)

Does this not shout its similarity to any number of totalitarian take-overs in this past century?

Surely this is not too complex for us to notice !

From now on, every investor and every business owner knows that no matter what kind of deal he sets up, the contract will not be binding and cannot be counted upon unless the gov't officials like you and are sufficiently "on your side" to support your claim.

Be careful what you wish! I think Obama would be much better President with some new members in Congress.
