Has anyone tried accupressure point to induce labor from home?

If so what points were they and did they work? If you have any other suggestions let me know. I am 39 weeks 3 days and I would rather induce naturally from home than have to be induced.

  • Yep!

One of my best friend's had a baby back in September. I did these on her to induce labor because the doctor was wanting to induce her with Pitocin.

We used the one for the wedging of your hand between the thumb and pointer finger as well the one located on the inside of the anckle. We alternated.

You can also try nipple stimulation. A good one that works but will not put you at risk for hyperstimulating the uterus is to pump for 2 minutes, rest for 3, pump for 2, then take a 20 minute break. If that doesn't work, pump for 3, rest for 2, pump for 3 and then take another 20 minute break.

My doula recommends walking during the 20 minute breaks.
