Fact or Fiction?

Every woman gets hemmroids during labor because of all the pushing? I had an acquaintance tell me this is true, doesnt sound right though....???

  • NOPE...ive never heard that..more like during preg. from the constipation...but not during labor for the pushing!

  • I didn't get hemorrhoids. I had a minor episode during pregnancy with my first, then had a C-section so didn't have to push. With my second, I didn't have hemorrhoids at all, during pregnancy or after pushing her out. So definitely not true.

  • fiction.. i never had a single hemmorhoid during either of my 2 pregnancies or deliveries.

  • does make sense though, because apparently pushing too hard during a bowel movement can cause a hemmorhoid. i guess it works differently when you are in labor.

  • This is my second pregnancy and I've never in my life had a hemmoroid.

    Good for you for questioning what your told! Not everyone does. My poor cousin went around thinking she would strangle one of her twins if she lifted her arms above her head while pregnant becaues our grandmother told her that!
