If you could go anywhere in the world...

where would it be?

I'm trying to find somewhere out of state-- preferably out of the country for my DD and I to travel to next summer for a week. (She'll almost be two). It's going to be just the two of us :) Any advice?

  • It depends on what you like to do? Do you want a cultural/city trip? Do you want a beach vacation?
    Do you like to walk/hike?
If it were me, traveling along with a 2 year old, I would probably go to Honolulu. You can go to museums or beaches. You can take boatrides. There are tons of places to walk. They have a great bus system, so you won't need a car to get around.

  • With a two year old....I would say beach is good. You could go to St. Tropez! Or Greece...well that's a little far. The beaches of Normandy are pretty in the summer and huge. Otherwise a little Caribbean might be nice or Florida beaches. Have fun!

  • Take a cruise. then you can put her in the play-Care and have just a we bit of fun yourself. At 2 she is not going to remember any of it.

  • Actually they can remember some stuff from when they are 2, just not clearly. We have lived overseas for all my kids lives, and they remember things from when they were 2/3 years old pretty well. I would suggest Spain if you can handle a longer plane ride. It's a great place for kids and kids are welcome everywhere there. Sevilla is perfect. Here are some links for things available to do there. Oh, and many of them speak enough English that if you don't know Spanish you can still communicate. (there are hundreds of beautiful white pigeons and you can buy food to feed them, its really nice)

  • Thanks!! I will definitely check out those sites and am seriously considering a cruise. That sounds fun! The beach sounds fun too but that's just a hop skip and a jump away. :) I live in Cali- takes me two seconds to drive to the beach... well maybe ten minutes if there's traffic :)

Thank you so much for your advice! I really appreciate it
