I agree.... and wear nice, yet sensible shoes.

  • I've always heard to dress one level higher than the job requires.

  • I worked at a daycare center for years, and when I went on the interview I wore something nicer than what I would have worn to work. I wore some cute tan capris a button up cardigan with a cute tank top underneith (it had a fun print on it) . Make your self presentable. Let them know that you care about what they think about you!!

  • I agree with all of the above! I'd say dress nicer than you would expect to dress when working, but don't go way overboard; I think very nice casual or business casual clothes would be good.

  • A onesie and a diaper. Oh, and don't forget a nice bow for your hair.

  • I own a home day-care and what I would look for in a potential employee is something thats slightly dressy and respectful. Also remember, if you have a bright colored dressy shirt, pick that one over a beige or plain colored one. That will make you look more "fun" and upbeat, which is something you will need while working in a childcare center. Good luck with your interview!
