Why is it when there is a question on something of importance such as the future of our country economically you get very few answers and most are from Republicans but when its an issue that is really rather trivial in comparison to the survival of our nation such as abortion or gay marriage then the argument goes on and on?

  • It's not just women though, it's the media. THEY love the drama. The important stuff just isn't interesting enough for them!

  • To some these aren't trival. If you want to marry your partner and the government is saying you can't then it would seem very important. Abortion is often about religion so if someone is stepping on your belief that could be very important to you. These also tend to be things that they have a voice in. How many of us actually can change the way the government is being run at least until the next election? Can we stop Obama from blowing our money on a night out with his wife to NY? No. Personally I think that should have come out of his own pocket.

The only thing we can control is our own little world. If our economy stinks then we can change it partly thru our own actions. Save a little, spend a little and work our tails off.

  • I often why people don't care more about the economy. I don't if people just find the topic boring or think there is nothing they can do about it or what.

  • Abortion and gay marriage are hot button issues for alot of people so they pop right up to give their own opinions on it. A good majority of Americans don't know whats going on in the world these days so the rest isn't important to them. Like healthcare reform. Everyone says we need it but few know whats going on in Washington in regards to it. It's how Obama has almost singlehandedly taken over the banks and auto manufacturers and people don't have a clue whats going on there. It goes for almost everything that is important to our Country's well being.

  • Personally I thought that (as proved by the questioning of obama voters at the polls) it was because some people are totally ignorant on the issues.
