Do you have any healthy fast food makeovers?

My family loves fast food so I would like to start making similar meals at home.

  • I know that this sounds un-American, but I really am not familiar with fast foods, beyond hot dogs, burgers and fries. I will throw some ideas out, feel free to contact me for recipes:

tofu fish sticks with baked sweet potato "fries"
    lentil tacos
sweet potato and black bean burritos
veggie burgers on whole grain buns
    Morningstar corndogs are fabulous!
    dairy free nacho sauce
southwest falafel (bean patties with avocado sauce)
noodles and broccoli with peanut sauce

  • Hamburger patties I make as flat as possiable and add lawry's season salt and I try to grill them.
All you have to do is think about the ingredients
A wendy's burger.. is as follows on the bun and get the sara lee"kaiser roll" hamburger bun
mayo, ketchup, pickle, onion, tomato, lettuce and musturd goes on the patty and when cooking the meat do not press down on the patty while cooking, keep it juicy.
taco bell's bean and cheese burrito is easy and just use taco bell sauce after you spread refried beans, onion and cheese on a soft shell tortilla. Microwave for a minute and roll up.
I have alot of ideas contact me if you want more.
