  • Wow you have a big boy! My daughter will be six months old on the 26th. She has about four or five bottles a day, depending on when she gets up. We give her five ounces and a jar of food three times a day, and seven ounces if she gets hungry any other time. She's on soy formula too. We haven't tried any puffs or anything, even though she has two bottom teeth. She's probably around 16 pounds and was 25 inches tall at her 4 month appointment.

  • Oh my god! I thought my boy was a chunker! My 6 month old has three 8oz bottles a day and with each bottle he has a mix of oatmeal cereal and some sort of fruit/veggie.

  • 21 lbs? My goodness! I have a big daughter too, she is going 6 months on the 12th and weighs about 17 1/2 lbs. She eats 6 ozs about 5 or 6 times a day, I give her cereal in the morning and a jar (sometimes 2) of food at dinner. She refuses to drink juice for me though! I also give her more cereal at night which helps her sleep longer. She doesn't have teeth yet but has been teething like crazy for about 2 months.

  • Haha! Your baby is the size of my 2.5 year old. She's 30 inches and 19lbs. Anyway at that age she would get MAYBE two table spoons of solids a day plus she nursed on average 30 times a day.

  • LOL All three of mine were about that size at 6 months, too!

    They had:

Breakfast: 8oz formula in a sippy, equivalent of two stage 2 jars food/cereal
Snack: 4oz juice mixed with 4oz water in sippy, finger foods
Lunch: 8oz formula in sippy, equivalent of two stage 2 jars food
Snack: same as morning, but different finger foods
    Supper: same as lunch
Snack: 8oz formula in sippy, finger foods

The last snack was at least 1 hour before bed. We had started introducing table foods at this time, too (why I said "equivalent") but they were still eating mostly jarred food. They were on all table foods by 9 months.

We had set meal and snack times. (within 1/2 hour either way, that is lol)
