  • my son is 2 1/2 months old, he always has green poop. only time it wasnt was right after he was born, it was like black tar...but the doc told me it's completely normal. do you breastfeed or formula feed?

  • lol i thought the same thing, now it looks like bright green clay lol. sometimes it has some dark green or the good ol' mustard color too. sounds normal to me, or at least is normal for my son. i would say if it stays the same but she doesnt change (fussiness, eating/sleeping habits) it may be normal for her too now. good luck!

  • I got this online...
If your baby’s stool is an unusual green color, they can be consuming too much milk. Contact your doctor to make sure they don’t have a milk allergy. Also, green baby stool is often caused by iron added to formula. website:

Is it anything like these? Pictures of poop,beware... website:

    Hope this helps?

  • thanks .. the photo looks like it normally has been w/my daughter.. the new green poop has been "accompanied" by lots and lots of spitting up.. like her tummy is really upset :(
think she must have a "bug"..
she is breastfed, so not an issue w/iron in formula..
will call dr. to double check. hopefully she'll be better tomorrow

  • Watch what you are eating. Have you started any new foods? My son had these very frequently as an infant and we discovered later that he has an egg and peanut allergy.

  • Green poop and spitting up is a sign of too much foremilk, usually from an oversupply of milk. Check out oversupply
