I am concerned...

My son is 3 mo old and not rolling over yet. My older 2 were rolling ovewr a lot sooner. Is this normal?

  • He is only 3 months. They usually don't start until 4 months or later. Each child is different. Can he support his own neck and track objects? Does he reach for things? If so he is fine. Does he have good muscle tone in his arms and legs? There is nothing wrong with it. By 3.5 months our daughter was sitting and by 4 she was all over the place rolling but that doesn't mean the next child will do the same.

  • Yes, that is fine. My DD didn't roll over until like 6 or 7 months.

  • the parents as teacher woman that works at the school i work at says anywhere between 3-6 months is normal.

  • I definitely think it's normal. I have some friends who's babies never rolled over until 7 months or so, and some that did it a lot sooner. My son began rolling over about 3-4 months old. Every child develops at a different rate. I wouldn't be too concerned.

  • Its DD just started crawling at 9 months....some do it at 6. Dont worry...
