What's 'old' to you?

I remember being ten years old. I thought 20 was old as dirt. Now I'm 20 and think that's hilarious. I'm not dirt quite yet!

  • I always thought that OLD was, well in elderly and have trouble getting around. Sometime between 70 and 90 depending on the person. Some 70 year olds are still active, so they aren't elderly. But my grandparents are in their 90's and I consider them elderly.

  • My parents are in their late 50's and I don't see them as being old ... I would say 70's are "old".

  • It is hard to say these days because their are people that are in their 70's and 80's that can still get around like a young person. I use to think that being in your 30's and 40's was the sign of aging but not anymore they are just as young as people younger than that. It is hard to say.

  • Well, I'm almost 40 and my mom is almost 79 and she's an active woman so I'd say late 80's. Everyone ages differently. I hope I'm still active and vibrant at 79.

  • Oh man, whoever said 50 is old... wow. I'm nearly 40 and I'd hate to think that I'll be old in 10 years. I think late 80's or 90-ish is old. Then again, I've seen some 80 year olds that are probably in better shape than I am. I can only hope to age like they have.

  • Yeah, that's funny. I used to think 50 was old, but my dad will be 52 in December and my mom will be 50 in September. I just can't think of them as being old...ever! My grandma is 82, and while I see *other* 80-something people as being old, my grandma isn't old to me. She's very active for her age.
