Eating less and sleeping more

My daughter who is 9 weeks and 2 days old has been sleeing more then usual during the day and eating less. She woke up at 2:30am and only drank 3 oz, at 6am 2oz, and at 9:30am 3oz. She normally doesn't reallly sleep during the day and drink a 5-6oz bottle of formula every 3 hrs. Since her last feeding at 9:30 she has probably been awake for a total of an hour and half. Also, at her 9:30 feeding it took her just as long to take the 3oz as it takes her to for the 5-6oz. What do you all think of this?

  • Sounds like nothing but a growth spurt honey. Growth spurts can cause them to eat less and sleep more OR ear more and sleep less lol.

  • Like the PP said, most likely a growth spurt! Could be teething too maybe.

  • As long as she is wetting and soiling her diapers and seems happy then I would worry. It's just a growth spurt. Next week you'll be wondering where this crazy appetite came from! :)
