How do you care for a burn on a 19 mo old when she won't let me run water over it for more than 10 secs if that at a time! She's acting fine, like it doesn't hurt, rolling on the floor laughing and trying to stand on one leg. It's red (duh), and two little toothpick sized white lines forming.... what should I do???

  • I'd just get some bactine and spray it on there to treat it with something. If she's not acting like it hurts, don't worry about pain reliever so much.

  • triple antibiotic ointment with pain reliever. generic is fine. def do not do the old wives tale of putting butter on it. it will cause further damage.
