  • well at least yours eats! lol. i give mine 3 meals a day, with a snack between lunch and dinner. if he eats it, he eats it. if he doesn't, then i guess he waits till the next meal. he normally eats breakfast with NO problem...he loves breakfast foods. lunch, sometimes he eats it, depends on what it is. as for dinner, that's normally our biggest problem. it could be his favorite food and that night he doesn't want it. ugh. so normally he goes to bed hungry. no way am i slaving over a stove for him lol.

They say that if you make sure you give them 3 square meals a day, and a snack is fine, especially at this age, it helps with obesity, and also do it the way our parents did it when we were young. if we didn't eat the greens (or whatever) on the plate, you don't get desert, and you go to bed hungry. i have no references...just what the doctors tell me and what i see on some talk shows.

  • Do not worry. Toddlers/kids go in & out of stages where they eat a lot for period of time then not so much for a while. It is perfectly normal that ur child is picking right now she will eat when she is hungry. My DD gets 3 meals a day but anywhere from 3 to 5 snacks a day. She gets one sippie full of milk & one sippie full of a juice/water mix & sometimes she'll decide to have a little more milk. Dont worry as long as shes still growing at a "normal" pace for her age according to her pedi then its all okay!
