  • YARD SALES, it's fun and you people get rid of nice stuff for cheap. I always check out the ones that are moving sales because people need to just get rid of things more than they are trying to make money. Also, we have a store here in town called Big lots, and it's full or cheap furniture that is good quality.

  • check goodwill and places like that as well. i got a lazyboy in great shape there for $5 once. (and i was actually a lazyboy not just a recliner)

  • Our furniture is virtually all second hand; one of my favorites came from an alley. We have bough furniture in thrift shops, at garage sales and at auction. If you are in Chicago, There is one great furniture shop called Roys, on Southport just north of Fullerton

  • Where are you located? my mom knew a lady that could get furniture at she had access to stuff from high dollar name brand places..all you had to do was pick out what you wanted and give her the bar code number, or whatever it was called...and she could order it for you for like 2-300 less than the stores....
