  • You should use a front facing harnessed carseat. Most carseats will say the weight requirement.

  • LOL, well... You're going to get a LOT of replies on this one! My DD is 18 months about 26lbs and maybe 30+ Inches, still RF in a Britax Marathon she'll RF until she hits the limits of the seat. Here are a few links to educate yourself on safety so you can make a good choice.

It's also important to check out the different brand/type you plan on purchasing and be sure to try your child in it at the store to be sure it fits comfortably.

  • My son is only 9 months, but I just bought an Eddie Bauer 3-1 Convertible car seat. It's rear facing until 35 lbs, then forward facing for I think 65lbs and then a booster up to 100lbs. Only $110 on sale and it's awesome! I went to a FD to install it and they said it was a great seat.

  • The Eddie Bauer seat only harnesses to 40lbs btw not 65, so its not worth the $110..might as well pay a bit more for the Nautilus and harness to 65 and have a better booster

  • I also have the Nautilus, my son is about 30lb at 20months. We have a small car with a very small back seat but this seat fits nicely. It cost me about 180 at target but I see it as an investment seeing as he will be in it for at least 7 years because of Michigan Laws.
