Why's my two-year old having a hard time sleeping?

Whether it's for a nap or to sleep she always wakes up crying after an hour. I think she's having nightmares but what can I do to help? How can I ease her mind?

  • with my daughter i was afraid to ask if something scared her b/c i didn't want to put the thought there. so i asked her if she had dreams and saw stuff when she was sleeping, she said yes i asked if they were funny (knowing they probably weren't but that she would say on her own they were scary) she said they were scary and we went from there, me finding out why they were scary and helping to explain that it was ok (for her it was monsters under the bed and in the closet)
