How can I prevent my 8 week old from getting gas?

I am breastfeeding him but I don't eat anything spicy like onions or mexican food. I only have caffiene once a week or less and I have almost completely cut dairy out of my diet. He still gets horrible gas, I would even say he is borderline colic. What can I do?

  • You can get gripe water...this helps with upset tummies, gas, teething, and colic. You can also give you LO mylicon gas drops. Be sure to make sure you LO burps well after eating. I had to try diff. positions to burp my LO. He was hard to burp and would get an upset tummy alot. Hope this helps

  • I had the same problem with a baby I watched and I would carry him on my hip with his stomach faced out and my arm was against his stomach and that would soothe him up pretty quickly.

    Hope it helps u!
