Why do some people say that you are shoving things down their throat when you ask a question on Cafemom?

Last time I checked, you don't have to read something if you don't want to.

  • Some people are just lookin' for a fight! And any time you say something people don't agree with...especially on a hot topic...they'll get their back up. And usually, it's then THEM trying to shove what they have to say down YOUR throat and not vice versa. Let it roll off your back...

  • It's not what is being said, but how it is being said. Some people just get a little too involved in their advice giving and don't always realize that the way they are answering is hurtful or pushy.

  • Maybe they were having a bad day and was taking it out on the people reading the question. The only way to learn anything is to ask a question.
